Lisa Still Haunted by Becky’s Case
We all know Lisa and Kit don’t exactly get along, but things really turned sour when she found out he’d been poking around in files linked to Becky, Lisa’s late wife. Becky died in a hit-and-run while under investigation for corruption, and Lisa has never believed she got the full story about what really happened. That’s why she’s been digging anywhere she can.
Lisa went straight for him after that, and it turned into a blazing row. She made it clear she didn’t trust him, and the tension between them hasn’t eased since. In fact, it’s only getting worse. A new clip shows Kit taking a phone call in their office, and Lisa immediately asks if it’s personal. Kit bristles at the question and snaps that they need to stay professional. Lisa doesn’t back down, saying she knows how to do her job but she’s not about to ignore her gut feeling.
Lisa Digs for Answers
As soon as Kit heads out, Lisa’s detective instincts kick in. She notices a post-it pad on his desk and tries an old trick, rubbing a pencil over the paper to see what he wrote. What she finds makes her freeze. Kit had written down Costello’s name, along with a phone number. Straight away, her alarm bells are ringing. Why is Kit scribbling down Costello’s details in secret? Things only get stranger when Costello later takes Lisa aside.
Kit warns her to keep things strictly professional with Kit and says he doesn’t want her dragged into anything messy. It’s almost like he knows more than he’s letting on. Meanwhile, Kit’s got his own story. Kit opens up to Sarah Platt and admits why he really wanted Becky’s files. He says he’s working on a case that seems connected to one Becky had been looking into years ago.
