Grief Floods Back for Lisa
Following Craig Tinker’s tragic passing, Lisa faced painful memories she had long suppressed. The young officer’s death came too close to home. Lisa opened up to Carla Connor and confessed that Craig’s death brought back memories of her ex, Becky.
Becky, who never appeared on camera, was also a fellow cop, and Lisa’s previous partner. Lisa had once told us Becky was pursuing a suspect when the man leaped into a getaway car and drove over her. She was killed in the crash.
But Lisa just told Carla something new. She told her that just before Becky died, she had been investigated by the anti-corruption department.
Lisa remembered their fight that day, an argument that continues to torment her to this day. Even though the investigation was later abandoned, Becky’s funeral was not the one she deserved. And now with Craig dead, that grief is re-surging again.
Betsy’s Curiosity Raises Questions in Coronation Street
Amid the emotional turmoil, Lisa attempted to connect with Becky’s daughter, Betsy. She handed over a letter, in hopes that it would bring peace. But when Lisa asked her if she’d read the letter, Betsy said she wasn’t interested in learning about her “sperm donor.” Lisa did not pursue the matter and kept the truth about the letter to herself.
But Betsy wasn’t entirely true herself. She later told Lauren Bolton that she had indeed read the letter, and what she learned only created more questions. Betsy admitted she felt the so-called hit-and-run that murdered her mum did not add up. Something about it did not sit right with her. Vowing to find out what truly happened, she urged Lauren to help her in uncovering what really occurred on that day.
Fans Believe Becky’s Death Wasn’t Final
With the plot getting thicker, fans have gone in a know-it-all mode on social media with bombshell theories. Some believe there’s a twist in store, one that would rock Lisa’s life all over again. One of the fans posted that they couldn’t bear the idea of Becky being alive. But they couldn’t resist reading the theories either.
Another viewer pleaded the soap gods not to do that, but others are sure it’s just what Coronation Street is intending, particularly with a Corrie-Emmerdale crossover on the cards next year. While Betsy is digging up old wounds and Lisa is evading questions, the past is becoming increasingly twisted.
