Friday’s Coronation Street episode left things feeling really tense around the Rovers, especially with everything going on between young Will and his coach Megan. The whole situation already felt uncomfortable, but this latest twist made it clear that the trouble isn’t stopping anytime soon, and the way things ended has everyone wondering just how much worse it’s about to get.
Things Start Getting Messier at the Rovers
Ever since Eva Price moved back and brought Ben, Maggie, Will, Ollie, and little Susie together under one roof, the Rovers has been buzzing with drama. But viewers quickly learned the real issue wasn’t the family adjusting, it was the fact that 15-year-old Will had secretly been seeing Megan, his athletics coach from Hull.

The family doesn’t know the truth, of course, but they do know Will is a little too attached to this woman. That became even clearer when Megan and Will came back from a trip they claimed was a sports competition. Megan tried to end things with him in the car, but he didn’t take it well at all and stormed off.
Not long after, Ben bumped into Megan, insisted on giving her petrol money, and invited her in for dinner, completely unaware of what’s really going on. Megan went along with it and told the family she was officially stepping down as Will’s coach. During the meal, Will pretended a fake girlfriend from Hull had dumped him.

Maggie tried to cheer him up, saying a lad gets over one girl by finding the next, but Will insisted no one was to blame, and Megan rushed out because she could barely handle the tension. Things escalated again when Will pushed to move back to Hull for athletics. Ben slowly started to consider it, but Eva and Maggie refused and decided to make their own plans without telling him.
The Twist That Left Coronation Street Viewers Uncomfortable
Later that day, Megan showed up again in the back room of the pub and this is where the episode really shocked people. Maggie proudly revealed that she and Eva had sorted everything out behind Ben’s back. She said she phoned Megan, they had a few drinks, and found a “solution.” Megan then explained that Maggie would now pay her to come to Weatherfield twice a week for one-on-one training sessions with Will.

Maggie insisted money didn’t matter and she just wanted Will to be happy. What she didn’t realise was that she had basically just guaranteed that Megan would stay close to the boy she’s secretly involved with. Fans took to social media immediately, saying the whole thing made them uncomfortable. One person pointed out that Will is only 15 and the storyline felt disturbing.
Another said it was worrying to hear Ben say Will trusted Megan when he had “no idea” what she was actually doing. Someone else commented that Ben would not be thanking Megan for all she’s done if he knew the truth, and another viewer said it was scary how easily parents trust adults around their kids; both in soaps and in real life. But there’s another twist.

Nixon said Megan actually starts to develop feelings for Daniel, even though she originally only used him as part of her plan. That creates a huge mess because she can’t just walk away from Will without exposing everything. With lies piling up and pressure building, it looks like Megan is heading straight for disaster, and she might pull a lot of people down with her.
