Lisa Struggles to Let Go of the Past
Lisa’s been on edge for weeks now, and it’s only getting worse as the anniversary of her wedding to Becky creeps up. Craig Tinker’s recent death in the line of duty has stirred up all kinds of painful memories, and she can’t stop thinking about how Becky died in similar circumstances.
It’s really taken a toll on her, and the people at work have picked up on it too. She’s been pulled from heavier duties and gently nudged towards therapy.
At first, Lisa wasn’t keen on opening up to the counsellor, Floyd. But over time, she started to let her guard down. What’s really bothering her is this lingering doubt, was Becky actually a bent copper? There were corruption rumours hanging over Becky before she died, and Lisa can’t move on without knowing the truth.
She already tried to access Becky’s file but couldn’t get in, so now she’s taking bigger risks. One day at the station, she waits until no one’s around, sneaks into DI Costello’s office, and digs into his emails, hoping to find anything that might shed light on Becky’s case.
Carla’s Secret Visit That Changes Everything in Coronation Street
What Lisa doesn’t know is that Carla’s been doing some digging too, only she’s keeping it quiet. Behind Lisa’s back, she’s gone to visit Logan Radcliffe in prison. He’s the man who was behind the wheel in the crash that killed Becky, and Carla’s hoping he’ll open up about what really went on. The same guy had already been approached by Betsy, who tried to get him to talk about her mum and the anti-corruption probe. That didn’t go far.
But Carla’s hoping he might reveal something to her instead. It’s risky, though. Lisa has no clue Carla’s doing this, and if she finds out, it could blow up in both their faces. Back on Lisa’s side, things take another turn when she discovers that someone else is poking around in Becky’s files too. While checking Costello’s inbox, she spots Kit’s name. He’s put in a request to access Becky’s records, and Lisa is absolutely furious. She can’t believe he’d go behind her back like that.
Secrets Stack Up As Carla Keeps Quiet
Later, Carla comes home from her prison visit and listens as Lisa vents about what she found in Costello’s emails. Lisa admits she’s been snooping but Carla doesn’t come clean about what she’s been up to.
What’s wild is that Lisa’s so angry at Kit for digging into Becky’s past when her own girlfriend is doing the exact same thing. If Lisa ever finds out, this won’t just be about old secrets, it’ll be about betrayal in the present too.
There’s a lot going on, and it’s clear that Lisa’s obsession with Becky’s past is starting to affect everything; her job, her mental state, and now, maybe her relationship too.
