Carla and Lisa have been through the wringer lately, proposals, grief, family drama but just when things started to settle down, something new seems to be brewing. And while the show hasn’t confirmed anything yet, a certain long-time Coronation Street star might’ve just given fans a major clue without meaning to.
Carla Said No… But That Wasn’t the End
So, earlier this month, Lisa popped the question to Carla. But the timing couldn’t have been worse. Lisa was reeling from the sudden death of her colleague, Craig Tinker. Though Carla didn’t say yes, it wasn’t a flat-out rejection either. She just wasn’t in the right headspace.
Lisa seemed a little hurt, but she took it well and gave Carla space. Before long, the tension eased, and there were even a few cheeky mentions of a potential wedding in Ibiza. That was all fans needed to know the love was still there, these two weren’t done yet.
Then came a twist involving Lisa’s daughter, Betsy. She had secretly gone to visit Logan Radcliffe in prison and was trying to uncover the truth about Becky the officer who died while under investigation from the anti-corruption unit.
Lisa and Carla tracked her down and had what looked like a turning-point conversation. Instead of falling out, the three of them managed to come together, and that’s when Carla and Lisa decided to share something big with Betsy.
Jack P Shepherd Teases a “Top Secret” Swarla Scene in Coronation Street
This is where things get really interesting. Jack P Shepherd, who’s played David Platt for years, was chatting on his On the Sofa podcast with Ben Price and Colson Smith when he casually dropped a little nugget that sent fans into detective mode. He said he’d done a lot of improvisation that day on set, and mentioned that he’d had a massive scene with both Carla and Lisa.
He described it as huge, just him with the two of them, and said they were in fits of laughter. But then he added that he couldn’t say where the scene took place, calling it “top secret.”
Naturally, fans immediately started speculating that Lisa and Carla might be moving into No.6 Coronation Street, Yasmeen’s old house. Because it’s right next door to David’s place, and if Jack’s filming a big Swarla scene in a mystery location. Well, it lines up a little too well.
A New Home on the Cards?
When Lisa and Carla sat down with Betsy after everything calmed down, they told her they were thinking about buying a house together. Lisa mentioned that while their current place was fine, it was starting to feel a bit cramped unless, of course, Betsy had any objections.
Betsy responded that she thought it was a great idea. It was a genuinely lovely moment. And with Betsy completely on board, it seems Carla and Lisa are finally ready to make a big change. So, are Lisa and Carla about to move into a new home together? Jack’s little slip certainly points in that direction and if it’s No.6, they’ll be living right next door to David. Looks like Swarla’s story is going to continue as of now.
