Gary Windass is about to take matters into his own hands in Coronation Street, as suspicions around Theo Silverton grow impossible to ignore. After hearing disturbing claims about Theo’s behaviour, Gary comes face-to-face with him, and makes it clear he’s not someone to cross.
Gary Finally Sees Theo’s True Colours
Over the past few months, Coronation Street has focused on a disturbing domestic abuse storyline involving Theo Silverton and his partner, Todd Grimshaw. Theo has been growing increasingly controlling and aggressive, while managing to keep most of his behaviour hidden from those around him.
That secrecy begins to fall apart when George Shuttleworth overhears one of Theo’s angry outbursts. And, what he hears raises serious concerns, prompting him to speak to Christina Boyd and Summer Spellman. The information quickly spreads, and soon Glenda Shuttleworth and Sarah Platt are also aware of the situation.

Sarah then informs Gary Windass, who considers Theo a close friend. Wanting to understand what’s really happening, Gary goes with Todd to the flat and what he witnesses changes everything. He catches Theo shouting abuse at Todd, confirming that the concerns are very real.
An insider explained that Theo lashes out at Todd as soon as he hears the key in the door, not realising Gary is there. In that moment, Gary understands exactly who Theo is. He immediately sacks him from the builder’s yard and issues a serious warning.
Gary’s Chilling Warning Rattles Theo
In scenes airing on Sunday, March 29, Gary returns and starts observing things more closely. He notices Todd staying away in the bedroom and points out that something isn’t right. Gary remarks that after just two days of marriage, Todd is already keeping his distance.
The two men exchange an uneasy laugh, but Gary continues, noting that Todd’s hands were shaking when he made tea. Theo dismisses it, calling Todd “a nervous Nelly” and claiming his behaviour comes from the accusations involving George.

Gary refuses to accept that explanation. When Theo asks if everything is okay, Gary responds that it has nothing to do with George. Instead, he directly questions Theo about what Sarah told him, making it clear he knows more than Theo might think.
Gary then issues a strong warning. He tells Theo that if the claims are true, he should remember what happened with Noah. He adds, “I’m onto you, Theo, we all are,” making it clear he won’t ignore the situation.
Theo is clearly shaken by Gary’s words, though he insists Gary has misunderstood everything. Still, with more people in Weatherfield beginning to notice his behaviour, Theo is running out of ways to hide what he’s been doing. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers.
