Coronation Street brings a fresh twist to Theo Silverton and Todd Grimshaw’s storyline as their reunion raises serious concerns. While Theo appears confident about starting again, George Shuttleworth is not convinced and begins to question what is really going on behind the scenes.
George Questions Todd And Theo’s Sudden Reunion
In Tuesday’s episode, which is already available on ITVX, Theo makes a bold move by turning up at Todd’s workplace and announcing that they are back together. He hands out coffees to everyone, presenting himself as friendly and relaxed, clearly hoping to win people over.
However, George reacts very differently. He is visibly upset by the news and does not hide his disappointment. Although he does not know everything that happened in private, he remembers how unhealthy Todd and Theo’s relationship had become before they split.

When George gets Todd alone, he speaks honestly and reminds him of the past. He tells Todd not to forget why they broke up and points out that Todd himself admitted he had been in a bad place for a long time. George also shares his concern directly, saying he does not think Theo was good for him. He added that Todd had lost his spark and seemed like a shell of himself.
Theo Tries To Win George Over But Doubts Remain
Later, Todd tells Theo about George’s concerns, making it clear that not everyone supports their reunion. Theo quickly understands that George’s opinion matters and decides to take action. He arranges to meet George and Christina Boyd for lunch at the Bistro and promises that things will be different this time. Theo presents himself as sincere and determined to make the relationship work, hoping to change George’s view.

George appears to accept what Theo says during the meeting, but his reaction changes once they are alone. He admits to Christina that he is not convinced and says, “I’m thinking we have to appear to be supportive.” He explains that if they openly oppose Theo, it could push Todd away. It is especially after Todd stormed off earlier when the issue was raised.
George goes on to say that the best they can hope for is that Todd realises the truth on his own. His approach shows that he is thinking carefully about how to handle the situation rather than reacting emotionally. As the story moves forward, George chooses to stay involved without creating conflict. He decides to observe rather than interfere. He’ll keep track of Theo’s behaviour while allowing Todd space to make his own decisions. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers.
