Todd Grimshaw’s life on Coronation Street looks more worrying by the day, and the people around him are starting to notice. Something about the way he’s acting after the latest trouble in his flat makes friends stop and look twice, even though he keeps saying he’s fine.

A special episode airs on Monday, 15 December, and it’s filmed in a very different style. Viewers will see everything through Todd’s hidden cameras, police bodycam clips and CCTV. The police arrive at Todd and Theo’s flat after someone reports a domestic disturbance, and soon after that, Theo begins to feel the pressure of people watching their relationship. The next day, Todd quietly cleans up the broken items around the flat, trying to act normal.
Bernie Winter then shares that she saw the flat in a terrible state, which makes it clear the situation may be much worse than Todd and Theo admit. Her words leave George Shuttleworth uneasy. He starts to worry that Todd is hiding something serious and wonders if he can reach him before the situation gets even harder. Gareth Pierce, who plays Todd, explained that Todd now feels real danger but believes he’s too deep in the problem to get out.
George Becomes Alarmed in Coronation Street
Later in the week, George and Christina Boyd visit Todd and Theo for dinner. The pair smile and act polite, but it’s clear they’re forcing it. George tries to help by offering Todd his old job back at Shuttleworth’s, but with Theo watching so closely, accepting the offer doesn’t look easy. During the meal, George gently asks about what really happened during their argument. He also mentions that Bernie told him about the worrying state of the flat.
George tries to figure out whether something dangerous is going on or if Todd is still stuck in the same unsafe situation. Gareth shared that Todd now faces physical abuse almost every day and that Theo has cut him off from support. He also said the risk keeps growing. Todd could get seriously hurt, or he might reach a point where he reacts out of fear. Gareth explained that Todd is close to rock bottom. He may soon reach a moment where he finally looks for a way out.
With everything George has seen and heard, he starts to realise something very worrying is going on. The earlier police visit only adds to his concern. George now believes Todd may be in real danger, especially as Theo’s behaviour becomes more intense. Todd keeps acting like nothing is wrong, but the signs around him suggest otherwise.
