The camaraderie between Coronation Street stars doesn’t just live on set, it spills into their real lives and podcast banter too. But a recent chat among three popular castmates took a cheeky turn when one of them decided to shine a light on what he jokingly called a “shady” move by a friend.

The Wagamama Ritual Started It All

Colson, Jack P Shepherd, and Ben Price, who all became mates on Coronation Street, have this little ritual of going out together to Wagamama. Nothing fancy, just a few laughs, good food, and collecting those loyalty stamps. They’ve been doing it long enough that those stamps really add up, and they all share one loyalty card.

Colson explained on the podcast that last time they all went, he and Jack helped use some of the saved-up stamps to knock about £18 off the bill. They didn’t think much of it because, as he said, “That’s fine because next time we go, Ben’s got a free main.” Basically, they figured it would all balance out and save them a bit next time.

Colson said Ben ended up going to Wagamama without them. He took his daughter to the Salford branch, and used the loyalty points. Now, Ben and his family live in Bath, but they were in Salford that day and decided to grab a meal there. Fair enough to us. But not if you ask Colson.

He called the move “full s**t-house,” saying Ben was basically “eating their money.” Jack reminded Ben that those stamps only existed because the three of them had earned them together. Ben took the teasing well and tried to defend himself. He joked that the restaurant offered him an ITV staff discount. But he went with the loyalty deal instead because it worked out better for him.

Coronation Street: No Hard Feelings Between Mates!

Of course, it was all in good fun. These three have such a great friendship, and that’s part of what makes their podcast so entertaining to listen to. They started it back when it was called Sofa Cinema Club, and it’s only grown more personal and behind-the-scenes.

Colson, who recently left Coronation Street after over a decade playing Craig Tinker, still keeps the laughs coming off-screen.
