Bethany Begins To Doubt Jodie
Wednesday’s episode delivers the first clear warning signs for Jodie. Earlier this week, viewers discovered that she sneaked into Bernie Winter-Alahan’s home and cut Bernie’s face out of a wedding photo. She also broke into The Kabin and stole a rare book belonging to Brian Packham.
As Brian continues to worry about the theft, Jodie deliberately winds him up. She taunts him about the missing book and boldly suggests that the incident might only be the beginning. She hints that the unknown culprit could have worse plans in store.
Most residents brush off the break-in, but Brian looks genuinely disturbed as Jodie slyly implies that something more serious could happen next. She even suggests it may not stop at a single stolen item, clearly enjoying the fear she plants in his mind.

A Stolen Ring And Rising Jealousy
Shona decides to thank Jodie for being so supportive since moving to Weatherfield and invites her to a pamper day at Audrey’s salon. Jodie eagerly accepts and basks in the attention as Shona raises a toast in her honour. She smiles as everyone acknowledges her, clearly enjoying the praise.
The atmosphere changes when guests begin complimenting Shona and David as the perfect couple. Jealousy flashes across Jodie’s face as admiration pours in for her sister and brother-in-law. Shona removes her wedding ring during a manicure and places it on the side, and Jodie notices it immediately.
Her gaze lingers on the ring as she quietly begins plotting her next move. Back at No. 8 later that day, Shona realises her ring has disappeared. Panic sets in as she searches frantically. Jodie quickly steps in, pretending to share her concern and promising to help find it. She insists she will search everywhere, playing the role of the devoted sister. Bethany studies her carefully, and suspicion grows stronger by the minute.
Bethany cannot ignore the uneasy feeling building inside her. Although she lacks proof, she believes Jodie is not being honest. Every gesture, every comment, and every look seems slightly off.
