In Coronation Street, Sarah Platt and Kit Green have already faced big challenges, but right now, things seem to be going well for them. Even so, there’s still a hint of mystery about Kit that leaves their future open to questions.
So Much Drama to Finally Calm!
Sarah and Kit have been together for a few months. Early on, they went through a huge test when Kit was stabbed by Mick Michaelis. Instead of breaking them apart, it brought them closer. Tina O’Brien, who plays Sarah, says her character is in a good place now.
Work is going well, her relationship is steady, and the only downside is missing her daughter Bethany, who is in London. Overall, she’s happy with how life is going. Sarah already knows some difficult truths about Kit. One of the biggest was finding out he is the biological father of troubled teen Brody Michaelis. Despite the shock, she chose to stand by him.
Coronation Street: Can She Really Trust?
Sarah trusts Kit, but she knows he keeps parts of his life private. Tina explained that Sarah has noticed a side to him she doesn’t fully understand. Even with that uncertainty, Sarah believes they could have a future together. She accepts that there may be more surprises, but for now, she’s choosing to focus on what’s good between them.
Away from the cobbles, Tina enjoys working with Jacob Roberts, who joined Coronation Street as Kit in May 2024. She said it was a nice surprise to find out they’d be sharing scenes and described him as a lovely person to work with. Their only on-set challenge is the height difference, with Tina often given stilettos to even it out.
Jacob’s performance has already been noticed, earning him a nomination for Best Newcomer at this year’s Inside Soap Awards. Whether Sarah and Kit’s relationship grows stronger or faces more twists, they’ve become a couple to watch in Weatherfield.
