Coronation Street icon Jack P Shepherd has opened up about David Platt’s reaction to Shona’s abduction. Long-time viewers know that David made a mistake last year after stealing some questionable money, originally taken in a robbery by Harvey and Damon. And after Harvey learnt that his money had disappeared, David’s world was turned upside down.
As the robbers try to look for their funds, they will kidnap Shona in the upcoming week, and the David actor has shed light on the storyline! He admitted that Harvey and Damon are not just targeting him now, but they’re physically hurting his family members. The actor also highlighted that Mason was killed by one of his brothers, and they’re now after David, so it is obviously making him worried.
Shepherd, who has portrayed David’s character for 25 years, continued to explain that he regrets taking the money. “Knowing that no one is safe and they could come after his whole family, he’s panicked and he’s desperate. He’s selling anything personal he has, but he’s barely scratching the surface,” he added. We know that David took help from an unlikely ally – Kit Green, the man who once slept with his wife.
