Big changes are ahead for Coronation Street fans as an emotional chapter comes to a close next week. The cobbles are set to see drama both behind the bar at The Rovers and in the lives of some much-loved characters. A newly released clip gives viewers their first glimpse at the stirring scenes that lie ahead, but the full story is yet to unfold.
Jenny Begs Daisy Not to Go
A first-look spoiler clip from Friday, 2 May Episode captures a moment between Jenny Connor and Daisy Midgeley.
In the clip, Jenny admits to Daisy that she‘s not coping after a possible investor backed out of negotiations to save The Rovers.
While a new buyer has been secured, Jenny admits she somehow coped with those setbacks — Daisy’s leaving really tore her apart.
Jenny, tears in her eyes, confesses she feels like she is being left behind and pleads with Daisy to change her mind, telling her she is desperate for her to remain.
Previously, Daisy joined forces with her estranged mother, Christina Boyd, and they conspired against Jenny. They schemed to rope in Dom, who pretended to be a possible investor for The Rovers.
They wanted to trick Jenny into selling out, with Daisy hoping to gain. The scheme spectacularly backfired, though. Daisy discovers that Christina and Dom secretly see one another and plan to double-cross her. They planned to steal the money and leave Daisy with nothing.
Charlotte On Leaving Coronation Street
Finding herself completely betrayed by her own mother and fellow conspirator, Daisy was left to fend for herself. In January, Charlotte, who plays Daisy, revealed that she was leaving Coronation Street.
Looking back at her time on the show, Charlotte said she would always treasure her moments on the Street. She said she felt ready to start a new chapter after four fantastic years with Daisy. But the door is open for her to return.
We wish Charlotte all the best for her next adventures and hope to see her back soon on the cobbles. For more Coronation Street updates, stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily!
