Coronation Street stirred up a storm when the soap suddenly and without explanation axed actor Sean Wilson. Sean has been very popular among viewers for his role as Martin Platt and had already filmed scenes for Gail Platt’s upcoming exit storyline. However, the latest news reports reveal that these exits have opened the door for a stunning return!
Spoilers reveal that former CS star John Thompson is returning to the iTV soap! For the unversed, John used to play the character of Jessie Chadwick, a children’s entertainer. However, he hasn’t been seen on the soap in the last 14 years. But Coronation Street spoilers reveal that John is now reviving his former role, and will will return for Gail Patt’s exit.
After the news broke out, John was recently spotted casually strolling around the streets of Manchester. The actor was seen dressed up in a pair of blue jeans, white t-shirt, and a khaki jacket. John completed his look by pairing his ensemble with dark sunglasses that suit his face cut perfectly.
The cobbles star was seen visiting an E-cig-shop and a hair saloon during his outing. We wonder if he is gearing up for his character by getting a hair makeover! Well, his look aside, there is something else that John would want to think about too. As many fans already know, John had previously spilled some criticism about his CS co-star, and that recently surfaced in the news circuit.

He had slammed actor Antony Cotton (Sean Tully) by calling him a “nasty piece of work” on Twitter in 2011, right after his exit from the soap. Well, needless to say, if the two have any scenes scheduled together, it is going to be awkward with a capital A! So, we wish them both all the best!
