Abi Webster is about to turn Kevin’s world upside down on Coronation Street. What starts as a moment of joy for Kev quickly shifts into heartbreak, leaving fans wondering if this is the end of their marriage for good.
A Happy Moment Turns Sour
Things actually begin on a high for Kevin. He goes to the hospital for a check-up and is told he’s all-clear from cancer. Naturally, he’s over the moon. He comes home buzzing and tells Abi he can’t wait to grow old with her. He even suggests they spend their retirement fixing up old cars together. But instead of celebrating, Abi feels crushed.

Kev’s talking about their future when she knows full well she’s been living a lie. Her mind flashes back to their time in Mallorca, when they seemed like the perfect couple. Now, the guilt is eating her alive. According to a show insider, Kev’s health news and his heartfelt words about their future are exactly what push Abi over the edge. What should’ve been one of the happiest days of Kev’s life ends up being the moment that cracks Abi completely.
Abi Finally Snaps
Abi can’t hold it in any longer. She blurts out to Kevin that she wants to end their marriage. Poor Kev is completely blindsided. Just minutes earlier, he was dreaming about their future; now his wife is telling him it’s over. The truth, of course, is that Abi’s heart lies elsewhere. She meets up with Carl and admits she can’t keep lying anymore.

Still smitten with him, she even suggests they pack up and run away together. Kev, meanwhile, is left reeling. He confides in Tyrone and admits he thinks Abi might be seeing Carl. And he’s not wrong. The big question is, will he put the pieces together before Abi and Carl make their move?
What This Means Going Forward
Abi will soon have to explain why she’s making such a huge decision, especially after that sunny getaway in Mallorca where she and Kev looked stronger than ever. Fans know the truth, but Kevin is only just starting to suspect it.

Sally Carman, who plays Abi, has admitted the storyline has been hard to film because it means working less with Mike Le Vell, who plays Kevin. She said it feels like they’re “work husband and wife” and she’s going to miss him terribly, even though they’ll always stay close off-screen.
Now it’s all eyes on the Websters. Will Kevin figure out that his own brother has stolen Abi’s heart? And will Abi really leave everything behind to start fresh with Carl? Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the latest Coronation Street gossip and spoilers.
