The latest Coronation Street spoilers confirm that actor Callum Harrison is all set to reprise his role as the killer Clayton Hibbs. It has been a couple of years since we last saw the man. In 2020, Clayton’s mother Shona visited him in prison, and that was the last time we saw him on the screen. However, there have been some sporadic mentions of him.
Clayton Hibbs has been serving a prison sentence for the murder of Kylie Platt, which happened in 2016. After four years since he was last seen on Coronation Street, the fine actor is all set to make a comeback. The Sun reports that Callum Harrison has already filmed some scenes as Clayton.
As of now, not much is known about his return stint, or which storylines he will be involved in. However, it is safe to assume that his return will definitely impact David Platt, as he still seems traumatized by what happened to his wife in 2016. Interestingly, David Platt has been acting a bit cagey lately.
The Corrie spoilers for next week reveal that he receives a mail from Weatherfield prison, and it leaves him rather shocked. He even hides the information about the emails from Shona. Later, when she goes to bed, he retrieves the laptop and deletes all the mail that came from Weatherfield prison.
Could it be that the emails were regarding Clayton Hibbs and his upcoming release? If that’s the case then it is indeed easy to imagine that David would not want Clayton getting released or make any sort of return to his life. But for how long can he hide this information from Shona? Sooner or later, she will find out. How will she react to the shock that David lied to her?
