Gary’s sudden disappearance has left everyone rattled in Coronation Street but for Maria, it’s the fear of losing him that’s eating away at her. What’s more surprising for her is who’s now helping to find him. After everything that happened with Mick, Kit’s involvement is the last thing she expected. And yet, here he is, ready to help. But has he really changed, or is there more going on?
The Fallout From Mick and Gary’s Clash
A while ago, things got heated between Gary and Mick, and then, Kit didn’t exactly have Gary’s back. In fact, he sided with Mick, and it felt like a betrayal. Both Gary and Maria started to question Kit’s judgement, and wondered if he could be trusted at all.
So now, with Gary missing, the last person she thought she’d be hearing from is Kit. But desperate times can make you do strange things, and Maria has no choice but to report Gary’s disappearance at the police station. And none other than Kit steps up to handle the situation.
Kit Starts Digging for Gary in Coronation Street
Maria turns up at the station, panicked, and instead of just taking down a formal report Kit listens to her and tries to calm her down. Soon, he informs her about a report from the hospital regarding a man in a coma, no ID, no details but maybe, just maybe, it could be Gary. Lisa, who’s also there, immediately jumps in and wonders the same.
Later, Maria tells Sarah that Gary hasn’t used his card since 23rd June and how that’s not like him. Nina overhears the conversation and is visibly worried. She later chats with Summer and reminds her that Gary vanished the same night they were all off their heads on drugs. Summer, trying to make sense of it, points out that no assault was reported. Even they seem to have no clue of where he went.
Gary’s Found, But There’s a Twist
Meanwhile, in the hospital, we get a glimpse of the coma patient. A nurse is talking to a visitor, saying “Chesney” is showing signs of improvement. But the face in the bed isn’t Chesney, it’s our Gary.
Back at the station, Kit returns to Maria and gently breaks the news that the patient isn’t Gary. But Kit is not a villain here. He genuinely doesn’t know it’s Gary and our speculation is, someone is intentionally trying to keep the truth from everyone. However, Kit tries to console Maria saying that he’ll keep looking for Gary.
Is Kit doing all this out of guilt? Maybe. Or maybe he really is trying to make things right. Either way, he’s stepping up, and that counts for something.
