A leaked episode of Coronation Street has thrown the street into fresh chaos, and viewers already believe a murder is coming. Five names have surfaced as possible victims, but their chances are far from equal. Some still have long stories left to play out, while others feel like they have reached the natural end of their journey, and the clues are starting to narrow the field.
Megan
Megan carries a fairly high chance of becoming the victim. Her character has largely completed its purpose by highlighting the grooming of a minor, and she now feels like a classic short shelf-life addition to the cast. Once a storyline like that concludes, the writers often move the plot forward with a dramatic exit.

Several characters have believable motives. An enraged Will could snap, Ben could lose control, or Maggie might act if pushed too far. Beyond those three, nobody really fits the profile. Daniel has shown flashes of temper, but the show would never wreck his character that severely. There is simply no way they would make him the killer here.
Maggie
Maggie’s chances remain low. She has only been in the show a few months, and nothing about her arc suggests a quick exit. Instead, the story keeps hinting at a mysterious past that still has not been revealed.

That secret will definitely surface one day, but not anytime soon. Her storyline clearly has longevity and could easily run for a year or longer, which makes a sudden murder feel unlikely right now.
Jodie
Jodie also looks relatively safe. Her character still has plenty of narrative runway and could realistically evolve into a long term resident of the street. Unlike others, her actions have not crossed a line that would require a permanent ending.

The direction seems obvious. She is heading toward trying to steal Shona’s life. However, that plot feels designed for a downfall rather than a death. She will probably hit rock bottom first and then slowly turn things around instead of being written out through murder.
Carl
Carl stands as the highest possibility of them all. His story appears nearly finished, and he has antagonised far too many people to walk away cleanly. Kevin, Abi, Ronnie and several others could plausibly end up responsible, even if it happens accidentally during a fight.

The strongest theory involves Theo killing him to stay silent. Carl knows the truth about Billy and will grow desperate for money to leave town, leading him to blackmail Theo. That motive explains why he alone knows Theo’s secret and why Theo would feel forced to act. The fallout would not end there, because Carl would likely leave evidence behind, possibly even a recorded confession, which could later expose Theo or push him toward becoming a serial killer.
Theo
Theo has the lowest chance of dying. He is the street’s new major villain, and his storyline has barely begun. Ending it this early would cut off the central threat the show is building.

Realistically, viewers are stuck with him for quite a while yet, at least until the end of the year.
All signs point to Carl as the most likely victim, with Megan as the backup shock death. The other three look safe for now in Coronation Street. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers.
