Coronation Street Alum Lands A New Gig!
Coronation Street icon Amy James-Kelly is making her legendary comeback on TV, and how? The actress who used to portray the role of Maddie Heath made her debut on the soap in 2013. And she bid goodbye to Cobbles two years later in 2015.
Long-time viewers know she was introduced as Sophie Webster’s love interest. But she was later killed off after an explosion from a fire threw her across the street.
And it looks like things are not all bad for her. The talented star is now returning with a high-profile BBC series, Industry. According to sources, Kelly is coming back to the airwaves for the fourth installment of the hit TV show.
She will be playing the role of a newly promoted government minister named Jennifer Bevan, who works for the Labour government. Earlier, she was also a part of several other big projects, such as Military Wives with Sharon Horgan.
Amy also had a title role in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. She was seen alongside Pamela Anderson and Jamie Lee Curtis in the critically acclaimed movie, The Last Showgirl. As for her upcoming show, Industry – the production of the fourth instalment will begin in the UK later this month.
