Coronation Street Legend Denise Black is going places! The soap star who is famous for portraying Denise Osbourne on the ITV drama has already signed the dotted lines to star alongside David Tennant in an adaptation of Jilly Cooper, named Rivals. The talented actress is said to be playing the role of David’s secretary.
The Sun reports that the series is said to have eight parts and will stream on the OTT giant, Disney+. Furthermore, reports reveal that the series is based on books written by the best-selling author. The story explores the extravagant and eye-popping antics of the elite in 1980s England.
Interestingly, The Coronation Street star has already filmed her scenes in 2023. Apart from Denise Black and David Tennant, the series also stars Emily Atack, Danny Dyer, and Aidan Turner. The show is based in the fictional Ruckshire, and also stars Luke Pasqualino. As for Emily and Danny, reports tease that the actors have actually gone on to strip for the show! That’s got to be interesting!
Disney+ is yet to announce the release date for their mega project, but we feel that it’s truly going to be worth waiting for. One of the cast members had previously made a cheeky remark about how the makers had used 30 per cent of the world’s intimacy coordinators during the filming. That just goes on to suggest just how racy and rompy the story is going to be!
