On next week’s Coronation Street, a “work experience” day turns bad to worse, an angry dad takes matters into his own hands, and a detective from the police steps in—just when everything reaches boiling point. But it’s not all about the present causing drama… the past is set to reveal all its secrets soon.
Friendly Faces Turn Sour at the Builder’s Yard
Things haven’t been right with Mick Michaelis for a while. Sure, he seemed like a hero when he rescued Liam Connor from a group of thugs at the precinct. But let’s not forget, this is Mick we’re talking about. And next week, he proves that leopards really don’t change their spots.
Initially, he even got Gary Windass to employ him at the builder’s yard. With Gary purchasing the yard and constructing something new, Mick wormed his way into the situation.
Maria had her doubts, and she might’ve been right to trust her instincts.
When Liam and his friend Jake come to the yard for some hands-on work, it begins well. But Mick just can’t resist. He plays a childish trick and covers Liam in cement. Liam, trying to be cool, laughs it off, but later decides to have a bit of revenge. And it doesn’t go well.
Coronation Street: Mick’s Revenge Spirals into Violence
When Mick discovers that Liam spiked his tea with washing powder, he loses it. Rather than blowing it off, he goes way too far. He locks the teenager in a tool shed and keeps him stuck there, while he keeps yelling for help.
Later, Mick releases Liam and sends him off to get bacon butties as if nothing occurred. But Liam doesn’t return. Gary and Maria find him at the café, and the truth comes out. As expected, Gary is angry.
He storms off to the yard and discovers Mick snooping around the shed. In no time at all, Gary locks up Mick in the very same location and dismisses him on the spot. But if you thought that would be the final straw, think again.
Mick then ambushes Gary outside and knocks him to the ground. Gary picks up a bottle lying nearby, prepared to strike back—but just as things boil over further, DC Kit Green intervenes. He tells Gary to put down the bottle and release Mick. But why does Kit always appear just in time… and who is he really working for?
Flashback Episode Teases Kit’s Long-Held Secrets
Maria and Lou aren’t letting it go either. The wives go head-to-head, both standing up for their men. Meanwhile, Gary and Maria accuse Kit of bias, possibly even corruption. Kit attempts to turn the tables, and reminds Gary he was the one with the bottle.
But there’s more to this than a street brawl. Fans are going to receive some much-awaited answers when Coronation Street broadcasts a special flashback episode. The spotlight of that episode will be on the legendary Kit Green’s history and his complicated past with none other than Mick and Lou.
