Just last week, Lisa came face-to-face with Becky, the wife she believed had died nearly four years ago. Lisa and her daughter Betsy were told back then that Becky had been killed in a hit-and-run, struck by a getaway car during a robbery. For years, they carried that grief, thinking she was gone forever. But the truth recently came out, and it was devastating. Becky hadn’t died at all.
She had been placed in witness protection after an undercover mission collapsed, and she had been living in Spain all this time. Lisa was horrified to learn this and made it clear that she didn’t want Betsy to know the truth just yet. Her fury only grew when she discovered that DI Costello, her own boss, had been part of the cover-up. Realising both her wife and her superior had lied to her left Lisa reeling with anger and betrayal.

Next week, Lisa takes matters into her own hands. She storms into DI Costello’s office and demands answers. He tries to brush her off, saying it isn’t the right time, but Lisa refuses to let him dodge her questions. In a dramatic twist, Lisa locks the office door and tells Costello that neither of them is leaving until she gets the truth.
She explains how painful it was to tell Betsy about Becky’s supposed death, only to later discover that it was all a lie. Her patience runs out as she insists on knowing every detail of Becky’s witness protection. When Costello continues to hesitate, Lisa raises the stakes, threatening to go to the press and expose everything if he doesn’t give her the answers she wants.
Coronation Street: Becky’s Next Move
While Lisa battles Costello, Becky isn’t giving up on reuniting with her daughter. Carla Connor steps in, trying to persuade Lisa to tell Betsy the truth before it’s too late. When Lisa refuses, Carla takes another approach by arranging a meeting between Lisa and Becky.
Becky pleads with Lisa to let her see Betsy, but Lisa stays firm. She insists that Betsy can’t handle the truth right now. With no other option, Carla accepts defeat and sends Becky away.
