A new teacher has stepped into Coronation Street, bringing with her an air of warmth and confidence that quickly wins people over. Megan’s Friendship with Will Raises Alarms
When Megan first appeared, she was introduced as a dedicated sports coach who helped Will return home after he ran away. Everyone believed she was doing a good deed, guiding a struggling student toward a better path.
But it did not take long for small cracks to appear in her story. What started as encouragement slowly turned into manipulation, and her interest in Will began to feel far too personal.
For actress Beth Nixon, who plays Megan, this marks her first television role. She revealed that she had previously auditioned for two other parts in Coronation Street before finally landing the role of Megan.
She once tried for the part of Lauren Bolton and later for another girl who gave Lauren trouble at the mother and baby unit. Although those roles did not work out, Beth said they helped her understand the kind of emotional and complex stories that the show is known for.
A Dangerous Game with Daniel and Lauren
In upcoming scenes, Megan’s life in Weatherfield takes another turn as she grows close to Daniel Osbourne. He helps her get a teaching position at Weatherfield High, giving her a chance to become a bigger part of the community.
Her charm wins over locals like Eva and Maggie, who see her as a positive role model for Will. But while everyone else sees a caring mentor, Megan is using her influence to cover her own tracks.
Lauren, however, begins to sense that something is not right. Her own history makes her alert to the warning signs, and she quickly notices patterns that remind her of her own past trauma. As she quietly watches Megan’s interactions with Will, her suspicions grow stronger.
