Trouble has a new name in Coronation Street, and it’s Noah. A seemingly innocent arrival at Julie Carp’s wake ends up stirring up far more than grief. While most eyes were on the sombre service, Theo Silverton’s reaction to this surprise guest set alarm bells ringing. And now, we know why.
Theo Faces a Ghost From His Past
Billy Mayhew brought with him a familiar face to the memorial—Noah, a coworker from church. Noah’s arrival, however, brought back something much worse than memories for Theo. Seeing him, Theo had a panic attack.
Later, Theo had told Todd Grimshaw that Noah was responsible for the conversion therapy he experienced years ago. Although Theo recently revealed this black page in his life, he wasn’t ready to deal with it once again so abruptly.
Coronation Street: Todd Can’t Stay Quiet
Even when Theo begged them to let it go, Todd approached Noah—and received a nasty shock. Noah refused to budge from his beliefs, still defining same-sex attraction as sinful. Todd was outraged and wounded and left wondering how anyone could retain such beliefs after all the damage they’ve done.
As the drama continues, it’s evident Noah’s presence might have a serious impact on Theo’s healing, and on his future with Todd.
Get to Know the Actor Playing Noah
Noah is portrayed by Richard Winsor, or as fans of the soap might remember him, Dr. Caleb Knight on Casualty, whose character died tragically in 2017. Soap viewers may also remember his racy Hollyoaks stint as Father Francis, who had an affair with Carmel McQueen.
Aside from soaps, Richard’s a qualified dancer who’s worked in Matthew Bourne’s shows, Street Dance 3D, and played the title role in the Saturday Night Fever musical.
With Noah back on the Weatherfield scene, old wounds could reopen quickly. Will Theo get above them, or will the past drag him down? Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the newest Coronation Street twists!
