Is Dorin Lost Forever? Coronation Street Panic Over Missing Toddler

Baishaly Roy

A normal day at No.9 turns into a nightmare in Coronation Street when Steve McDonald is left in charge of young Dorin Dobbs and something goes horribly wrong. One moment, the toddler is playing nearby. Next, he vanished. What follows is a frantic search, rising fear, and deep regret that could shatter trust for good.

Steve’s Bold Moves Upset the Balance

Before Dorin disappears, Steve is already causing tension on the street. He makes a firm decision to move out of the home he shares with Tracy, even though their divorce isn’t final. But he doesn’t stop there. He walks into Preston’s Petals with Cassie by his side and calmly informs Tracy that he has a copy of the business valuation and wants his share. Tracy reacts with fury. She quickly suspects Amy of handing the information to her father.

As she’s still processing that accusation, Steve delivers a second blow, he’s officially moving out. The timing and tone leave her stunned. Tyrone steps in and offers Steve a place to stay with Cassie. It seems generous, but not everyone welcomes the arrangement. Fiz, already uneasy with Steve moving in, finds it difficult to hide her frustration. She senses the disruption before it even begins and she’s not wrong.

Coronation Street: Steve Falls Asleep, Dorin Goes Missing

At No.9, Steve agrees to watch Dorin while others are occupied. He gets comfortable in front of the television and, despite his promise to stay alert, falls asleep. While Steve sleeps, three-year-old Dorin is left completely unsupervised. A Corrie source criticises Steve’s behaviour, saying, “If anyone should be kipping, it should be Dorin! It’s thoughtless of Steve to fall asleep with a toddler in his care.”

When Steve wakes and realises Dorin is missing, panic spreads quickly. The household begins a desperate search. Fear deepens when someone suggests the toddler may have climbed into an old fridge that was recently removed from the property.

As the same source puts it, “It doesn’t take much to imagine the terror that goes through him and the rest of the family when it becomes clear that Dorin really is nowhere to be found…” Steve’s mistake leaves Cassie’s family shaken. What was meant to be a temporary arrangement turns into a crisis that damages trust. The pressure on Steve grows as blame circles around him.

CS/ Fiz is very concerned

Fiz, already sceptical of his presence in the house, now finds her concerns confirmed. She no longer bothers to hide her anger as Dorin remains missing and fear tightens its grip on everyone involved. Stay with Soap Opera Daily for every update on Coronation Street and more shocking twists ahead.
