Coronation Street fans were all set to see some of their favourite stars take to the stage later this month, but one familiar face has had to make a difficult change of plans. The cast member, who had been lined up to appear in Glasgow as part of the upcoming An Audience with Coronation Street tour, has now confirmed that things won’t go quite as expected. With last-minute changes behind the scenes forcing her hand, she’s had to share some disappointing news with those who were eager to see her in person.
Coronation Street: Special Tour Plans
Earlier this year, ITV announced An Audience with Coronation Street, a live event giving fans the chance to see soap favourites off-screen. Hosted by Sharon Marshall, the tour promised laughter, behind-the-scenes tales, and plenty of Corrie magic. Stops include London, Sheffield, Salford, and Glasgow, with cast members past and present sharing memories from the cobbles.

Vicky Myers, who has played DS Lisa Swain since 2021 and became a regular character in 2024, was among the names due to appear. Her character has been right in the thick of dramatic storylines, including the shock return of her ex, Becky Swain, which left Carla Connor reeling. Fans in Scotland were eager to see what she would share on stage.
Vicky Shares Her Update
But Vicky recently told fans she won’t be able to attend the Glasgow show after all. She explained that a sudden change in her filming schedule meant she couldn’t make it, despite trying to find another way around it. She said she was very sorry to miss out and admitted the situation was completely out of her control. The actress made sure to soften the blow by pointing out that Sue Devaney would be stepping in instead.

Vicky added that she’d be with everyone in spirit and hoped it would still be an amazing night celebrating Corrie’s 65th anniversary. Coronation Street’s official Instagram page also confirmed the news, explaining that Myers was very sad about missing the event. They made it clear that she had no prior influence over the filming schedule that caused the clash.
What Fans Can Expect
Although it’s disappointing news for those hoping to see Vicky in Glasgow, the tour still has a strong line-up ready to bring plenty of nostalgia and fun. With Sue Devaney stepping in, fans can expect plenty of laughs and Corrie stories.

And while she won’t be on stage in Scotland, Vicky continues to be at the heart of Corrie’s on-screen drama. DS Swain’s storyline with Carla and Becky is far from over, meaning viewers will still get their fill of the character in Weatherfield.
As the tour begins in London before moving across the country, the milestone celebration still promises an unforgettable experience for soap lovers. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the latest Coronation Street news and updates.
