Recently, Abi Webster reluctantly packed her bags for Mallorca, where she’s set to reunite with her husband Kevin. Before finally heading off, Abi used every trick in the book to delay the trip. She even pretended that she had misplaced her passport just so she could snatch a few secret days with Carl. Now that she’s gone, Carl suddenly has freedom but it doesn’t take long for trouble to find him. Tracy Barlow soon turns up at his hotel room, and she doesn’t exactly keep her intentions hidden.
Tracy makes it crystal clear that she wants to sleep with him. Carl, however, isn’t about to take the bait. He quickly shows Tracy the door, brushing her off before anything can happen. But fans soon find out that his refusal has very little to do with loyalty and everything to do with what’s (read: who) already waiting in his bed.
Coronation Street: Carl and James Give In to Temptation
The real shocker comes when the camera reveals James Bailey lying naked in Carl’s hotel bed. Over the past few weeks, sparks had been flying between them during personal training sessions. This is the first time they’ve crossed the line, and their fling is kept completely under wraps. Carl and James don’t shy away from the fact they’ve enjoyed themselves and agree they’d like to do it again casually.
But with Abi only temporarily out of the picture, it’s hard to imagine this secret won’t explode once she finds out the truth. Jonathan Howard, who plays Carl, explained that the character lives life with no brakes. Will Carl’s thrill-seeking finally catch up with him?
