A new episode of Coronation Street reveals what is really happening between Theo Silverton and Todd Grimshaw after their unexpected breakup. Theo recently told Todd that they should go their separate ways after an argument, leaving Todd confused and hurt. However, scenes released early on ITVX show that Theo may not truly be ready to stay out of Todd’s life.
Theo’s Breakup Leaves Todd Hurt
Earlier this week, Theo surprised Todd when he suggested they should end their relationship following a disagreement. The decision came suddenly and left Todd struggling to understand what had happened, especially since the pair had once been engaged.
Many viewers suspected that Theo’s decision might not be genuine. His behaviour in the past made it seem possible that the breakup could be another attempt to influence Todd’s emotions.
Todd spends time at The Rovers Return trying to deal with the situation. His friends gather around him while he drinks and tries to forget the painful conversation he had with Theo. Theo later approaches Todd and asks to speak privately in the pub’s back yard. During their conversation, Theo tries to sound understanding. He tells Todd that even though they are no longer together, he hopes they can remain friends.
Theo reminds Todd that they were once engaged and says that after everything they shared, they cannot suddenly act like strangers or avoid being in the same room. He also admits that even though they loved each other deeply, Todd may never have known the real version of him. Theo says that mistake was his own and adds that Todd will always have a place in his heart, even if they are better apart.
Theo Keeps Watching Todd
Later scenes reveal that Theo’s behaviour does not match the words he shared with Todd earlier. Even after saying they should move on, Theo continues tracking Todd’s movements through his phone.
That night, Theo sits in his van and watches as James Bailey helps Todd home after he has had too many drinks. James simply helps a friend who needs support getting home safely.
Theo reacts strongly when he sees James walking with Todd. Even though Todd and James are only friends, Theo becomes clearly jealous while watching them. These moments show that Theo still keeps a close eye on Todd despite the breakup. His actions suggest that he still wants to remain involved in Todd’s life.
