This time, it’s not just Debbie who feels the pressure. Ronnie is about to find out what Carl has been doing behind his back.
Ronnie Learns The Truth About Carl
Fans already know that a huge mystery hangs over Carla and Lisa’s wedding. Earlier this month, a flashforward episode showed Betsy Swain finding a dead body on the big day. Since then, viewers have tried to guess who won’t make it out alive.
Carl Webster is one of five names in the frame. Jodie Ramsey, Maggie Driscoll, Megan Walsh and Theo Silverton are also possible victims. With so many enemies and so much chaos around him, Carl has definitely put himself in danger.
For the past year, Carl has avoided taking the blame for the Corriedale crash and let Debbie Webster suffer the consequences instead. After he found out Debbie is actually his mum, things only got messier. In scenes airing on Tuesday 3 March, Carl visits Debbie and plays on her feelings.
He makes her feel guilty and manages to get even more money out of her. Sally overhears their chat and quickly steps in. She warns Debbie that Carl is using her. Debbie defends her son at first, but deep down she knows Sally is telling the truth. Later, sitting in her cell, Debbie worries about how broken her relationship with Carl has become.
Will Ronnie Confront Carl?
It doesn’t take long for Ronnie to hear that Carl has taken more money from Debbie. When he realises what’s going on, he isn’t happy. He already knows Carl keeps asking Debbie for cash, and now it’s happening again.
A Corrie source says Ronnie is very worried about Carl constantly hassling Debbie for money. Debbie feels guilty because she wasn’t there for Carl when he was younger, and she wants to make up for it.
But the source makes it clear that this situation can’t carry on. The big question is whether Ronnie will step in and deal with Carl before things get worse. If Ronnie does confront him, it could turn ugly fast. Carl already has a long list of people he has upset.
