Nina couldn’t ignore the change and asked Roy whether he had a new “lady friend.” Brian later backed up her suspicions, telling Nina that Roy had mentioned writing to a young man in prison and that the man’s mother had contacted him to say how much she appreciated it. Brian suggested she might be the woman Roy now writes to.
