Sair Khan announces her return after having her first baby. The actress has been playing Alya Nazir since 2014, who has tackled some intense storylines over the years. She announced her pregnancy in December and welcomed her baby boy in April with her partner, Nathan Chilton.
The brace soap star only stepped away from the soap a few weeks before her due date. Back in Weatherfield, her character nearly started a romance with her boss, Adam Barlow, but chose a job in Dublin instead. Now, Sair posted on Instagram that she’s back, sharing a picture of the soap’s script with the caption, “I’m Backstreet.”
In April, she also shared the sweet moment when she and her partner Nathan welcomed their baby. She expressed her joy with an adorable photo and wrote, “He’s here!” Reflecting humorously on her previous post, she mentioned that when she had referred to a ‘Spring Awakening,’ she hadn’t expected it to keep her awake.
She added that the ‘new parent zombie look’ was real. More importantly, the ITV star shared how marvellous their little boy was. She also praised his strength and resilience, particularly for enduring the 22-hour labour alongside her. She shared that the birth didn’t go exactly as she had hoped.
