Tim Metcalfe thought life was steady enough with Sally, but things are about to blow up in a way he never saw coming. Out of nowhere, his ex Trisha Pinkerton reappears in Coronation Street, and when she starts talking about their past, the truth she reveals leaves everyone stunned.

An Old Flame Walks Back In
It all starts when Tim picks up a fare in his cab and realises it’s Trisha, a girlfriend he knew back in the 1980s. The sight of her takes him aback, but he plays it cool and carries on. Later that day, he heads to the Rovers to lift Kevin’s spirits after his marriage split, only for Trisha to walk in.
Tim tells Kevin, Steve, and Tyrone who she is. Steve and Tyrone joke around, but Kevin isn’t laughing. He’s immediately uneasy, warning Tim not to risk his marriage with Sally. Kevin’s instincts only grow stronger the next day when Trisha turns up again at the cab office, clearly wanting to spend more time with Tim.
A Dark Past Comes Out in Coronation Street
Sally soon walks in on Trisha at the cab office and accuses Tim of “entertaining” his ex. She storms off furious, leaving Tim to open up to Brian about what really happened between him and Trisha years ago. What he admits leaves Brian horrified.
Tim explains that when they first got together, Trisha was nearly 20, while he was just 14, two years below the legal age of consent. For Tim, it had always felt like teenage romance, but Brian, being a former teacher, doesn’t see it that way.
He tells Tim it was grooming, not love, and warns him to face the truth about what happened. When Trisha shows up again looking for Tim, Brian confronts her directly, accusing her of taking advantage of him when he was still a boy. Trisha is furious at the accusation, but Tim rushes to defend her. The situation spirals further when Sally demands answers and Tim confesses he lost his virginity to Trisha, leaving Sally completely shaken.
What’s Ahead for Tim and Sally?
Despite the upset she’s caused, Trisha doesn’t back off. She seems determined to force her way into Tim’s life again, no matter how uncomfortable it makes everyone else. For Tim, it’s a mess of emotions, torn between the loyalty he owes Sally, the uncomfortable truth Brian keeps hammering home, and the confusing pull of a woman from his past.
