‘They Never Asked Us’ Says Soap Leged Sally Lindsay
Sally Lindsay recently expressed her wish to return to Corrie with her best friend and former co-star, Suranne Jones. However, she revealed that the soap makers never invited them back. Fans must remember the actress as the iconic Shelley Unwin and Suranne as Karen MacDonald. Let us tell you that these stars are still close friends.
Sally recently looked back on her time on the show and mentioned how much she wanted to come back for Betty Williams’ funeral in 2012 because she was a dear friend. She added, “Suranne said she would have done as well, but they never asked us.”
When questioned about returning now, Sally reflected on her wonderful time on the show and acknowledged that she and Suranne have been very fortunate in their careers. Hence, for the moment, the answer is no. However, she asserted that one should ‘never say never.’
According to the soap star, she learned everything on Corrie, and it is the best place to grow and learn. Sally left the soap when her character Shelley got a new job in the Peak District, while Suranne’s character Karen walked out on Steve McDonald in 2004.
Since then, Sally has starred in shows like Mount Pleasant, Cold Call, and The Madame Blanc Mysteries. Meanwhile, Suranne has been in many hit TV dramas. The duo even starred together in Scott and Bailey. Additionally, they are also killing it on social media. Very recently, Suranne’s post after their ‘gals trip’ was a big hit with fans.
