Things are rarely simple in Coronation Street life, but boil over next week when an apparently harmless moment turns into misunderstood intentions, hidden secrets, and one furious showdown. Sarah Platt finds herself caught in the middle of something she never anticipated.
Coronation Street: A Kiss for Cover, a Shock for Kit
It all starts when Sarah goes out on a date to the Viaduct Bistro with Kit Green. All that changes when she encounters Todd Grimshaw, who‘s only recently gotten himself into a tangled love affair of his own.
Audiences will remember that Todd has just begun dating scaffolder Theo Silverton. But here’s the thing—one which backfired when Todd‘s family arrived home early, and Theo ran.
It turns out that Theo has a huge secret: he‘s married. His wife, Danielle Silverton, and their two teenage children have no idea he‘s discovered an alternative side to his personality.
In spite of the bombshell, Todd could not resist the allure and met with Theo once more. That leads us to the fateful night at the Bistro.
As Danielle and Theo enter and notice Todd and Sarah conversing, they invite them to their table.
Danielle incorrectly assumes that Todd and Sarah are a couple. Instead of correcting her, Sarah and Todd choose to go along and conclude the charade with a kiss.
Kit, sitting across the table from them, is left utterly stunned.
But the misunderstanding doesn‘t stop there.
Subsequently, Danielle catches Sarah flirting with Theo, not knowing the whole story.
And to top it all off, George Shuttleworth nonchalantly lets it slip that Todd is gay, raising alarm bells in Danielle‘s mind.
A Heart-to-Heart… and a Storm Brewing

Theo opens up to Sarah, finally dropping his guard.
He confesses he‘s fallen for someone—a man—and has no idea how to deal with it. His family means the world to him, and confessing could ruin Danielle‘s world.
Sarah sits with him on the steps outside Underworld, offering reassurance as she listens to him with compassion.She slides her consoling arm around him for the emotional moment.
But right as she does, Danielle shows up. And what she witnesses sets her off in a fury.
