Before this, Sarah Platt becomes worried when she hears that Todd and Theo are planning to leave for Belfast. Something about the situation does not feel right to her. She joins forces with Summer Spellman and George Shuttleworth, and the three of them try to get in touch with Todd.
Theo quickly steps in to control the situation. He speaks to Sarah through an intercom and lies without hesitation. He tells her they are already on their way and claims Todd cannot talk because he is paying for petrol. In reality, Theo has locked Todd inside his bedroom, cutting him off completely.
Todd manages to convince Theo to let him out for a moment. He says he will prove to Sarah that everything is fine. After backing up Theo’s story on the phone, Todd waits for his chance. When Theo goes for a shower, Todd makes a risky escape attempt. Later, he is left bloodied but determined as he speaks to Lisa Swain and Kit Green and finally reports Theo.
A Risky Plan Could Change Everything
In the episodes that follow on Thursday, Sarah feels relieved when she learns that Todd has gone to the police. It gives her hope that Theo might finally face consequences for what he has done.
However, Sarah quickly realizes that Todd’s statement may not be enough on its own. She understands that they need stronger proof to make sure the case holds up. This pushes her to take matters into her own hands.
Sarah tracks down Theo’s van and manages to open it. Inside, she searches through his holdall, looking for his tablet. She believes it contains video footage that could back up Todd’s claims.
She gets lucky and finds the device. Just as she is about to take it, the tension rises. While she thinks she is helping, her actions could have serious consequences that she has not fully thought through.
