Well, it’s really happening. Dee-Dee Bailey has finished filming her final scenes on Coronation Street. Fans already knew she’d be leaving the show soon, but now it’s official; actress Channique Sterling-Brown has wrapped things up behind the scenes, and she’s getting ready to say goodbye to the cobbles for good.

Dee-Dee’s Journey Through Ups and Downs

Dee-Dee first showed up in Weatherfield back in 2022, and it didn’t take her long to make an impression. As the daughter of Aggie and Ed Bailey, she joined the soap’s first regular Black family and brought a real spark with her chaotic energy, sharp wit, and courtroom smarts. This was Channique Sterling-Brown’s first ever TV role, and you honestly wouldn’t have known it. From the moment she stepped into Dee-Dee’s shoes, she was a total natural.

Viewers loved how she made the character so real; funny, clever, and with just the right amount of drama. Just last week, Channique announced she was leaving Corrie after three “whirlwind” years. She posted a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos and said it felt “bittersweet” to say goodbye, but she’s excited for what comes next. She even joked about wrapping up her time playing “Princess Diana and her many expressions”, classic Dee-Dee humour, that.

Dee-Dee’s Last Day at the Rovers

Not long after that post, she shared another little moment with fans, this time a video from inside the Rovers Return with her on-screen brothers, Jason Callender and Ryan Russell. She kept it short and sweet, writing: “Last time filming in the local x” and tagging the famous pub as her location. And now, she’s confirmed it’s officially over.

CS/ Dee-Dee’s farewell post

On October 15, Channique posted a glowing photo of herself standing outside the Coronation Street set in Trafford, alongside another shot from the Manchester Half Marathon, which she’d just completed over the weekend. Talk about a big week! Her caption summed it up perfectly: “That’s a wrap x2! Quite the week, she doesn’t do things by half (except marathons).” Fans were quick to jump in with comments, saying how much they’ll miss her and wishing her the best.

We don’t know exactly how her final scenes will play out yet, but they’re bound to be emotional. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the latest Coronation Street news, spoilers, and updates.
