Rita Tanner Confirms Emily Is Still In Touch
The update was shared inside The Kabin, when Brian Packham noticed Rita Tanner looking frustrated with her phone. Curious, he asked what was bothering her. Rita revealed that Emily sends her spiritual pictures via text every single day.
While she clearly treasures their friendship, Rita admitted she would rather not receive them quite so frequently. The comment carried humour, but it also confirmed that Emily remains active and in regular contact with those she left behind in Weatherfield.
Brian jokingly suggested that Rita reply with a disappointing affirmation. However, Rita quickly dismissed the idea. She did not want to risk upsetting her friend, explaining that Emily might not understand she was joking.
