Shona Platt thought she’d already seen the worst of Jodie Ramsay’s surprise return, but one awkward moment in the café changes everything. When Jodie suddenly comes face-to-face with Kit Green, the tension hits like a wall, and Shona can’t help noticing that something about their reaction doesn’t add up.
Jodie And Kit Cross Paths Again And Jodie Freezes
It was only a matter of time before Jodie Ramsay and Kit Green ended up in the same place, but the reunion lands like a shock for the newcomer. In the latest episode, the pair bumped into each other in the café, and their reactions couldn’t have been more different.
Kit looked relieved, especially since he’d been trying to get an update on how the woman he rescued was doing. But Jodie looked completely horrified, like she’d just been caught in something she never wanted dragged back into the light.
Jodie has carried an air of mystery since she first appeared on our screens during Corriedale, tied up in the back of Emmerdale villain Graham Foster’s van. She clearly has a dark past she’s desperate to keep buried, and that panic on her face suggests she’s terrified of what Kit might reveal.
Kit is the one who found Jodie tied up in the woods after she escaped the van, which makes him the closest person to the truth about what really happened to her.
Shona Reads The Room And Jumps To The Wrong Conclusion in Coronation Street
When Shona wandered into the café moments later, she picked up on the tension straight away. She could tell there was history there, or at least something unspoken, but she instantly leapt to the wrong conclusion about what it meant.
Back at home, Shona questioned Jodie about whether she and Kit had met before, pointing out that they seemed “thick as thieves.” Instead of easing Shona’s doubts, Jodie denied it and then looked offended when Shona suggested she’d been flirting with Kit.
Jodie snapped that she wasn’t going to throw herself at Shona’s sister-in-law’s boyfriend, and Shona wasted no time apologising for even suggesting it. Still, the whole exchange left a sour taste, because the tension in that café didn’t feel like nothing.
Even with the apology, there were definitely sparks between Jodie and Kit, and Shona can’t pretend she didn’t see it. Whether it’s attraction, fear, or something else entirely, their connection feels real, and it feels dangerous. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers.
