Abi Webster has left the Weatherfield after a massive row with her husband, Kevin Webster, over deepfake porn videos of her. It all begins when Abi discovers the deepfake videos. Kevin attempts to find the culprit, but it doesn’t turn out in his favour. Now, according to Coronation Street spoilers, Abi feels overwhelmed and betrayed. Eventually, she decides to leave. Abi Webster Flees Weatherfield Amid Deepfake Scandal
Next week, Abi Webster storms out of the town after a massive fight with her husband, Kevin Webster. Viewers must know that Abi has been struggling with her deepfake video scandal. A few weeks back, Abi heard a radio presenter talking about a new documentary about a prison football team led by the villain Corey Brent.
Let us tell you that he is the same guy who killed Abi’s son, Seb, back in 2021. Without giving it a second thought, Abi rushed to the production company, demanding the documentary be stopped. But little does she know that she is about to discover something worse.
The residents find out that someone is making and sharing fake porn videos of Abi online. Kevin got Max Turner to track down the culprit, but it was nearly impossible. Later, Bethany Platt shares that she has landed a new job at a magazine owned by Corey’s dad, Stefan.
Now, Abi is convinced that Stefan is behind the deepfakes. She reports him to DS Lisa Swain. However, Lisa tells her that the police can’t do much about it. Meanwhile, Kevin plots to use Bethany’s work pass to sneak into Stefan’s office and steal his phone.
Stefan is clearly shaken that the truth might come out and agrees to pay to take down the videos. But he backs out when he finds out it will cost £60k a year. As the week continues, Abi is furious with Kevin for going behind her back. Kevin apologises to her- but it is too late as Abi has already decided she needs a break.
