Coronation Street spoilers seem to bring major tragedy to the Daniel-Bethany storyline this Christmas as he decides to pop the question. The pair has been through a lot lately, especially Bethany. Daniel has tried to support her in every way possible, but she seems to distance herself due to the embarrassment of the blotched surgery. Now that Bethany has the proposal, what will she do? Will she accept it? Or will she again distance herself from everyone?
The Root of Bethany’s Complexities
Since her blotched lipo surgery, Bethany has been facing complexities. That’s why she has been distancing herself from Daniel lately and feeling very embarrassed about wearing her old wardrobe. She even asked Daniel to donate all her old clothes to charity. But Daniel secretly stores them at the Rovers Return, thinking about whether she will change her mind later. When Beth gets to know about it, she is hurt as Daniel involves Daisy in a situation that is so personal to her.
At Gail’s wedding, Daniel is happy to see Bethany dress up like she used to before the surgery. He thinks she is probably regaining her confidence. Next, we see her handing over a Christmas gift to Daniel—an expensive vintage watch. However, Daniel’s reaction to the gift is minimal, giving Bethany the wrong message. She thinks maybe Daniel doesn’t want to be with her anymore due to her surgery, and that’s why he ignored her gift.
Daniel Gets on One Knee
Daniel is already nervous about the proposal, and as a result, he cannot express his happiness about the gift. Even though he tries his best to make Bethany understand this, he fails. She’s furious at him when he gets on one knee instantly and asks her if she’ll marry him. Bethany is shocked, and so are we! Will Bethany accept the proposal, or will she think it’s too soon for them to make such a huge commitment? If she rejects it, will Daniel go back to Daisy?
We have a lot of questions now. But the only thing we can do is wait for next week’s Coronation Street spoilers to pop in a bit early.
