Coronation Street spoilers have confirmed a major twist in Abi Webster’s life as her dead son makes a comeback after four years. The actor Harry Visinoni, who played Seb Franklin, has reprised his role, and this comeback will bring a major storm in Abi’s life. But why is Seb returning after so many years—and how will this affect Abi? Read on to find out.
Seb’s Makes A Stunning Comeback
Fans who have been keeping up with Coronation Street know that Seb had tragically lost his life back in 2021 in a hate crime attack. After three months of his on-screen death, the actor made a comeback in one of the flashback episodes—and that was it. Though the grief of losing her son was always there, Abi was trying to move on with her life. But the sudden stabbing of Mason Radcliffe that Abi witnessed flooded back all her trauma regarding her son, Seb.
Abi tried her best to save Mason by calling an ambulance and also tried to stop his bleeding—but ultimately, Mason couldn’t survive and later passed away at the hospital. The sudden death eventually took a toll on Abi, and she started struggling mentally as it brought back traumatizing memories of Seb’s death. We have seen Abi struggle consistently with her trauma, and in yesterday’s episode, things worsened as she started hallucinating Seb.
In the Wednesday episode, we saw a vision of Seb in the Webster family kitchen as Abi recalled a touching moment the mother-son duo shared before his death in 2021. In the upcoming episodes, we will see Seb feature in more scenes as Abi continues to hallucinate her dead son. This might degrade Abi’s mental condition further, and we don’t know where’s the end to it.
Even producer Kate Brooks has hinted about Abi’s future, telling us how her marriage with Kevin will be tested in the upcoming episodes. Though the couple loves each other dearly, temptation will come Abi’s way.
