Debbie And Carl Reach Breaking Point
Debbie focuses on her hearing. However, she is worn down by everything. And Carl keeps watching her worry because he knows the truth. He had caused the road accident. But now that lie has been tormenting him from inside. So he wants to go to the police station and confess. Nevertheless, Debbie notices his odd behaviour. And confronts him, asking what is going on.
Carl finally admits the truth to her. He says he was the one behind the wheel. He was expecting Debbie to be angry. However, Debbie’s response shakes him. She tells him that she was aware of the truth all this time and was pretending. Debbie did so to protect him because she didn’t want him to suffer again.
Carl couldn’t understand why she would go to these lengths to save him. And that’s when the truth lands. Debbie confesses that she is not her sister, but her mother. She was trying to keep him safe from the start. And was even prepared to take the blame if it meant he stayed free.
Bernie Grows Uneasy As Todd’s Stress Shows In Coronation Street
Bernie tries to push through her normal routine at the cafe. However, Mal brings new worry. He tells her that he plans to stay in Weatherfield. However, Bernie gets uncomfortable. It’s because his presence feels too close.
She warns him at the Rovers and says she’s not interested. And Mal agrees to back off. Despite this, Bernie is unsure. She knows that the cafe is her workplace, so avoiding him won’t be that simple.
Elsewhere, Todd has been dealing with his own problems. He later bumps into David and Sarah outside the cafe. And when he looks distant, Sarah reminds him that he still owes Harry £10 for the sponsored walk. But Todd snaps and tells her he has no time.
