Here‘s what‘s going down in next week‘s episodes.
Carl Webster arrives, and Abi experiences a spark amidst Kevin’s rejection
Kevin‘s downward spiral continues to test those around him to their limits. His strained relationship with Jack reaches a boiling point when he grounds his son, sending Jack into a rage. Tyrone attempts to make amends, but Kevin berates him in the Rovers, yelling at Glenda for refusing to serve him and punching Tyrone when they have a row.
Abi is shocked to hear of Kevin’s blowup and realises he is trying to distance everyone. Tyrone informs Kevin he must come out of his shell and talk to Abi. Kevin eventually tries to make things right, getting involved in a darts competition at the Rovers, apologizing to Tyrone, giving Jack go-karting tickets, and presenting Abi with flowers.
All seems to be going well—until Abi confronts a good-looking stranger in the Freshco car park over a parking space. She recklessly crashes her car, declares in the heat of the moment that her husband has cancer, and punches the gentleman, who is revealed to be Carl.
When she calms down, she invites him to let her repair his broken-down vehicle, and Carl, visibly smitten, refers to her as funny and stunning and invites her for a drink. Abi later talks about the encounter to her family, but omits their chemistry. When she enters a room and finds Carl talking to Kevin and Debbie, she realises in horror that he’s their brother. As Kevin shares Abi’s story about the car park punch, will Carl come clean about his identity?

She has a private consultation the following day, where she talks to a doctor about losing her handbag and blaming Mick, having a fight with Jack, tripping in the ginnel, and deceiving Ronnie.
While she thinks these are menopause symptoms, the doctor suspects a mini-stroke and refers her for vascular dementia tests. He tells Debbie to be honest with Ronnie, but she dives into work instead. Ronnie, not knowing, tells Kevin that he‘s going to propose.
Debbie receives a puzzling message from Abi and is already nervous when Ronnie arrives with her missed lunch. At the same time, Tim tells Ronnie he might have unintentionally let the proposal slip, and Ronnie decides to propose at the hotel with an engagement ring.
As Debbie responds, she later furtively makes an appointment at the memory clinic. Will she inform Ronnie of what‘s actually happening?
