As friendships are tested, loyalties shift, and old wounds resurface, Weatherfield faces a week where nothing feels certain—and where small decisions could lead to life-changing consequences. Here’s everything you need to know.
Julie Carp’s Last Day in Coronation Street
Julie Carp, who is fighting terminal sarcoma, chooses to leave a message on her phone explaining that love is the most important thing. Meanwhile, George Shuttleworth has arranged a night in for Eileen Grimshaw to let her know how much she is appreciated.
But Eileen is enraged when she reminds him he was meant to take her and Julie out on a day trip to the Lakes instead. Having no other option, Eileen and Julie call for a cab and start driving themselves.
As they appreciate the view, Julie says to Eileen that she couldn’t be anywhere else. Subsequently, when Eileen goes out to purchase refreshments, she finds Julie stretched out motionless with her eyes shut. Frightened, Eileen feels for a pulse.
Back home, George comes across Julie’s video, where she advises Eileen to end her relationship with him. As the week goes on, Eileen struggles to process Julie’s death while George fixates on the message about their relationship, much to Eileen’s frustration. With Eileen’s exit approaching, the question now hangs over whether she will walk away from George as Julie urged.
Mick Michaelis Turns Violent Again and Todd Faces Backlash
Todd Grimshaw informs Eileen and Julie that Danielle Silverton had called him after Theo went missing. An intoxicated Theo subsequently wanders along the street only to be brutally shoved against a wall by Mick Michaelis. Billy Mayhew sees the assault in dismay, and Ronnie Bailey intervenes, pulling away Mick before further incidents occur.
Mick is taken into custody, but Kit Green conducts the interrogation awkwardly and releases Mick without much coercion. Outside the station, Mick accosts Kit and informs him they must speak, suggesting that he has something on the officer.
Mick‘s nasty streak carries over as he pours cement over Liam Connor in the builder‘s yard, making the lad laugh along in front of others. In the meantime, Todd is confronted with his own crisis when Millie, Theo’s daughter, bursts into the undertaker‘s, insisting on explanations regarding the affair.
Subsequently, Todd listens to the car alarm and discovers it splattered in paint. Millie confesses she trashed it, raging at Todd for destroying her family. Theo, rather than judging her, comes to Millie‘s defence—leaving Todd aware of just how isolated he has become.
Dee-Dee Bailey Ponders Her Future with Baby Laila in Coronation Street
Dee-Dee Bailey shares with Eileen that she‘s anxious about getting close to baby Laila, the soon–to–be adopted child of her brother James. She tells her to believe her instincts. Ronnie catches sight of Dee-Dee babying Laila and discreetly finds the scene touching.
Later, Dee-Dee confides in Alya Nazir about the growing connection between her and Laila. Alya encourages her to reconsider the adoption, assuring her that James would come to accept her decision. More optimistic, Dee-Dee informs her brother Michael that she’s better and will go back to work.
But when she spots Roy Cropper marking Hayley‘s birthday with a cake and candles in the café, her feelings surge.
Still coming to terms with her emergency hysterectomy, one made worse by racial neglect on the part of medical staff, Dee-Dee‘s feelings flood back. Now, she has to know if she can really go ahead and give Laila up.
Lauren Bolton Suspects Bobby Crawford of Secret Blackmail
Lauren Bolton informs Bobby Crawford that the threatening messages about her crashing Tracy Barlow’s florist van have ceased, but she is still suspicious. When Bobby suggests she let him assist her in searching for flats, Lauren refuses. Faced with the high local rents, she realizes she desperately needs a job.
Aadi Alahan suggests she apply for a job at Freshco, but before she can proceed, Lauren is sent another message — this time for £200 to silence her about the police.
Lauren reports the most recent threat toBetsy Swain and indicates that she believesBobby is responsible, perhaps blackmailing his way closer to her.
Determined to uncover the truth, she leaves phony cash as bait. Lauren and Betsy wait impatiently to discover who will fall into the trap. But uncertainty sets in: is Bobby the blackmailer, or has Lauren made a critical error?
Jenny Connor Loses Control of The Rovers
Jenny Connor is having an inability to look ahead after the recent failures. Rita Tanner cautions her that she needs to stop wallowing and to focus on the better things she has left. However, things worsen further with Ryan Connor having the news about not reporting anymore to her. Carla Connor has become his new boss.
In the meantime, Glenda Shuttleworth shows potential purchasers of The Rovers. Ryan observes as Glenda discreetly attempts to discourage them, causing him to be suspicious of her intentions. WithCarla forging ahead with selling plans and Jenny‘s power further diminishing, the pub‘s future remains uncertain.
