In the upcoming Coronation Street spoilers, we can sniff some serious shifts. With Shona Platt trying to hide her tracks and lying to David, Kit Green taking control and Bethany making a life-altering choice, the intrigue will keep you on the edge of your seats. Now, without any further ado, let’s jump in for a sneak peek at the spoilers.
Shona is Injured in a Car Crash; Kit Takes Control
Debbie ends up slamming her car brakes when Young Bertie Osbourne is running across the street. As a result, tension brews between her and Daniel, and ultimately, Kevin has to leave with a warning. However, as Daniel gets heated, Jenny Connor and Daisy Midgeley ultimately have to intervene to calm him down and send him back home. When Daisy leaves The Rovers, she sees Debbie’s car speeding and leading to a deafening crash. However, the crash is still a mystery – and, later, Debbie finds a burnt-out car with keys intact, which caused her insurance claim to be declined.
Next, we see Shona getting a text and tapping on a hotel bedroom door where she went to meet a mysterious individual we don’t know of. But back home, she lies to David and blames her arm fracture on the stairs. Later, she admits to Adam Barlow that she injured her arm when a car almost ran over.
Craig, however, is suspicious of the case and talks to Kit about it, but when he hears Craig talking about the CCTV footage, he hangs the call and takes charge of the case. Later, David ends up finding Shona’s bloodied & torn coat in the bin (which Shona tried her best to hide). On asking her, she lies again and blames it on the same stair-fall incident.
The romance hasn’t completely taken a backseat yet, though – because Daisy invites Kit for a drink in the backroom where their chemistry becomes evident. Last but not least, Debbie might soon be diagnosed with dementia – maybe it’s going to be her “goodbye” storyline.
Where’s It Going Between Bethany and Daniel?
Even though we were quite relieved to see Bethany and Daniel’s makeup – it seems like their happiness was short-lived when Bethany saw Jenny wearing her top.
On telling her mum Sarah about her clothes, she asks Bethany to either forgive or end things with Daniel. But it seems like, even if Daniel truly loves Bethany, he will soon admit about similar feelings towards his ex, Daisy. On the contrary, Daisy, too has some lingering feelings but is trying to move on with Kit. But can she? I have my doubts.
Dee-Dee Bailey Skips Baby Scan; Lauren Bolton Gets Alarming News
Dee-Dee Bailey hasn’t yet told her family about the pregnancy and admitted to Sarah about her nervousness regarding the 12-week scan. Even though Sarah promised to accompany her, Dee-Dee is a no-show.
In the meantime, Dee-Dee gets an invitation from Gus and Anthea to attend a memorial for Joel’s birthday. But she gives an excuse for being too busy.
Just then, we see Max Turner passing by with baby Frankie in the pram. As he stops to introduce them to Lauren’s son, he feels mortified to know they are Joel’s parents.
To his surprise, when Max takes them back to the house, he finds them gone without any notice of them returning briefly from upstairs. Later, Lauren gets to know about bruising on Frankie’s body and that he has been admitted to the hospital with due tests.
David Platt Gets Back Stolen Cash
Amid the major announcement of Gail and Jesse for the Platts, Sarah’s young son Harry shows up with cash. It ends up distracting both David and Jesse midway. As soon as they see the stash, they can recall the money secretly stolen from Damon Hay. But can they mask their panicked face?
Later, the Platt family gathers in The Rovers, and Gail even invites Eileen Grimshaw to join them in burying the hatchet – but she doesn’t seem to get rid of her old habits.
Dylan Wilson’s Bag Got Stolen
Dylan Wilson’s bag is stolen by a lad. But Mason soon catches up and wrestles with the thief, who takes the bag away from him. But Mason is not letting it go easily – and instead, orders Dylan to meet him at lunchtime.
We can’t help but wonder what Mason’s real demands are. We don’t know how he will react to this because the ex-convict has made genuine efforts to make amends.
Evelyn Plummer Takes Her Revenge
Evelyn Plummer gets a Christmas present from Roy Cropper in a shiny new backgammon set. However, her joy doesn’t last long because soon Steve spills beer all over it at the pub.
Surprisingly, Evelyn gets way too pissed off at it and goes on to teach Steve a lesson. Soon, we see her drafting a letter for a small claims court for damage worth £325.
On showing the letter to Alya, she advises Steve to go for settlement. But later, after handing over the money, he finds out that the entire thing was fabricated by Evelyn herself.
Alya, amused by Evelyn’s cunning, invites her to attend a criminal law lecture. True to form, Evelyn causes a stir by stealing a name badge from the meet-and-greet table. Is she up to her usual mischief, or does Evelyn have a bigger plan brewing?
