You’d think things might calm down after Mick Michaelis was locked up. Next week in Coronation Street, from July 14 to 18, he escapes from prison and causes chaos that lands Kit in the hospital. While Bernie is worried sick, Dev returns to find a family crisis. Kevin gets caught in more lies, and Carla suspects something is off with Lisa. It’s one of those weeks where everything starts to break down at once.
Mick’s on the Loose, and Kit Pays the Price
Mick gets a burner phone and makes a move to see his kids. Brody goes to Sally’s to pick up Joanie and Shanice, but when he learns Tim has taken Joanie to Weatherfield High, he panics and quietly informs Mick. At the school, Joanie has a hard time with the other kids. Daniel is there for an interview, and when Joanie gets upset, the school calls Sally to pick her up.
Meanwhile, Lou tells Jess she has no idea where Mick is, but that’s clearly a lie because Mick shows up, demands Joanie, and then locks Daniel and Mrs. Crawshaw in an office before leaving. Later, he confronts Kit while holding a metal bar. After the attack, Kit undergoes life-saving surgery, and Bernie and Sarah stay by his side. Brody is missing too, and no one knows where Mick has gone.
Aadi’s Looking Suspicious, and Dev Returns at the Worst Time
Lauren wants to make peace, so she invites Aadi over for tea with her and baby Frankie. Aadi agrees, but he has no clue that she’s developing feelings for him, and he’s still hiding his involvement in her getting spiked. By the end of the week, Aadi ends up shouting at a masked guy running out of the shop.
He tells Asha that the guy threatened him with a wrench and forced him to empty the safe. He also mentions to Jess that £6,000 was taken, but when he brushes it off by saying they’re insured, Bernie starts to get suspicious. She thinks he’s acting strange. While all this happens, Dev returns, completely unaware that something shady is happening under his roof.
Kevin’s Lies Start to Weigh Heavy in Coronation Street
Kevin tells Tyrone he’ll come clean to Abi about his cancer now that their weekend away is over. His guilt only worsens when he sees what Debbie has been up to. She’s furious about losing No. 6 to Carla and is diving into a new plan.
Ronnie urges her to take a step back, but she insists she has it handled, after all, she’s a businesswoman. Later, Ronnie tells Kevin that Debbie wants the house nearby so she can support him through his treatment. Kevin can’t handle it. He asks Debbie not to make big decisions for his sake but still can’t bring himself to say the cancer is gone.
Nick’s Worried as Sam Shuts Down in Coronation Street
Sam is quiet after all the drama with Mick, and Nick notices. He tries to talk to him about what happened at school, but Sam stays silent.
Then Hope tells Nick that Lily hid in a classroom during the chaos and didn’t let Sam in. Sam was left out there alone. Nick tells David what happened, and he’s furious. But deep down, he is scared for his son and doesn’t know how to help him cope.
Carla Sees Something’s Wrong with Lisa
Carla and Lisa are nearby when the shop gets robbed, and while Carla expects Lisa to react, she just stands there frozen. She doesn’t even attempt to stop the thief.
Later, Carla brings it up and asks why Lisa didn’t act, but Lisa shuts down. She won’t discuss it at all, leaving Carla feeling uneasy. Something is clearly off, and Carla knows Lisa is hiding something.
