The last week of 2024 and the first week of 2025’s Coronation Street spoilers hint at a major shift of storylines across the cobbles. Carla comes down with a life-changing diagnosis, and Mason comes in to help Lisa regarding Becky’s death. Elsewhere, Kit and David are due a major clash, and Max tries to hide the truth from Lauren. Carla’s Health Crisis, Mason Helps Lisa
The week begins with good vibes as Carla tells Lisa how she feels about her. When a pipe burst floods Lisa’s flat, Carla invites Betsy and Lisa to stay over at her place. As they come over, Carla makes a shocking discovery as she discovers proof of Becky’s death in Lisa’s belongings. However, before she can talk to her over lunch, Lisa has to go out for an urgent incident. Later, when she comes back with a few injuries, Carla confesses her love to Lisa at the stroke of midnight.
Meanwhile, Carla has a health crisis, and she hears things and looks confused. Though Roy urges her to go back home and rest up, he later comes in to check on her. To his surprise, he finds her barely conscious on the floor and is soon rushed to the hospital. At the hospital, doctors inform him that Carla is probably suffering from sepsis. Lisa, unaware of Carla’s crisis, visits her at the hospital, but she’s hurt when Carla says she doesn’t want much fuss.
Across the cobbles, Mason is helping Lisa expose the truth behind Becky’s death. Lisa is certain about Matty’s involvement, but when she confronts her at the precinct, Kit warns her. Later, we will see Mason come clean and confirm that his brothers were driving the car that hit Becky. He searches for his brother’s flat and soon hands over a WWII helmet as proof to Lisa.
Later, Dylan visits Mason and suggests to put the past behind them. In the meantime, romantic sparks fly between Betsy and Mason when he cooks a romantic dinner for her. However, things turn negative over the week as Betsy finds Stu’s messages on Mason’s phone and sees she has offered him a job in Germany. As Mason heads out, Lisa sees him and starts questioning him.
Kit and David’s Major Clash Is On
A major clash takes place between Kit and David as David figures out Shona’s one-night stand with Kit and starts a tussle on the road. But Bernie tries to calm them down and reminds Kit that David used to be Paul’s very good friend. Back home, he also receives a backlash from Max and Lily as Shona reveals how David prevented her from seeing Clayton. Eventually, David comes up with a plan to trick Kit into confessing that he framed Nathan.
In the next episodes, Kit sees through David’s trick to expose him and instead threatens David to watch out for Matty and Logan as he’s on their hit list. Later, we see Shona trying to mend her relationship with David and asks him to go for evening games with Lily. Audrey pitches in and suggests he patch things up with Shona. As Kit seems out of danger, Daisy tries to pull away from Daniel and asks him to cut ties with Bertie.
Cassie and Tracy’s Catfight Continue
When Ken Barlow notices Cassie’s unresponsive behavior, he can’t help but ask her. On asking, Cassie instantly has an emotional outburst and reveals her debt for spending money on her family’s Christmas gifts. By mid-week, Tracy and Steve find Tracy in one of Ken’s dressing gowns. When enquired, she blames it on Steve’s night shift to spend the night shift working here. Later, Cassie tries to raise suspicions in Tracy’s mind regarding her romantic feelings for Ken.
As the week nears towards the end, Tracy tries to get back at Cassie for luring Ken. Tracy suspects Cassie might be after his money and suggests Steve not move out of Ken’s place at the moment. Later, when she learns that Cassie has received an advance on her wages, Tracy confronts her and has to return back to Spain. However, she asks Steve and Amy to keep an eye on Cassie when Tracy isn’t here.
Toyah Becomes Lenient Towards Leanne
Leanne’s plan has finally been exposed, and Toyah and Nick have joined forces to get back at her. In fact, they want to frame her for a similar fraud case. But as soon as Toyah learns about Lauren’s trial from Dee-Dee and how hard it has been for her, she drops her plan. Clearly, she doesn’t want her sister to go through a custodial sentence and urges Nick to do the same. Later, Leanne bumps into them as they head into town to celebrate Nick’s birthday.
Evelyn’s New Journey
When Evelyn complains that her life has no purpose, Roy suggests she pursue a law degree. Soon, she fills out the online application form and even attends a law lecture. But at the lecture, she will end up faking someone else’s name card, as only selected individuals were allowed. Later, she gets a call for an interview, but as she heads in, it turns out to be the woman she impersonated at the lecture.
Max Doesn’t Tell Lauren the Truth
When Lauren calls Max from the prison to confide about the upcoming trial, he doesn’t open up about the fact that she will be facing one of the hardest barristers till now. Initially, Leanne was the one ready to plead guilty but Max convinced her not to, thinking of Frankie’s future. But later, when he gets to know about the barrister from Dee-Dee – how will he warn Leanne?
