She mentioned, “The past 50 years have flown by, and I don’t think the fact that I am leaving has quite sunk in yet.” The soap star has started filming her last scenes this month, which will be aired at Christmas. Additionally, Sean Wilson, who played her second husband, Martin Platt, is returning.
The couple got together after her first husband, Brian, died. However, they later broke up, and Martin was last seen in 2018. Now, we’ll have to see how Martin will fit into Gail’s grand farewell. Fortunately, executive producer Iain Macleod has confirmed a happy ending for the iconic character.
