In the coming week, Lauren Bolton will be back in town. And guess what? She is pregnant with Joel Deering’s kid. The Joel actor reveals that his character is desperately trying to keep his horrible secrets from being exposed by Lauren. Previously, the solicitor abused the poor teen for months and even tried to kill her.
She managed to escape his grasp, but things will only going to get more complicated from here on. Recently, Lill explained that the situation is ‘way more’ serious for Joel because he can’t deny having slept with Lauren, which is evidence he can’t afford to have.
If Lauren goes to Dee-Dee and demands child support, even if Joel somehow convinces people that their relationship was consensual, his life would still be ruined. Lill mentioned that the best-case scenario for Joel if people find out, is losing his fiancée. But he can’t afford it as he considers Dee-Dee his whole world.
The soap star stated, “So it makes it way more serious.” He emphasised Joel’s selfish nature. He hinted that the worst of Joel’s actions are yet to come, and while he refrained from providing details, he stressed that the ‘stakes are higher than ever.’ Calum suggested that ‘desperate times call for desperate measures.’
