Debbie Drops a Life-Changing Truth Before Her Sentencing
As Debbie prepares for the likelihood of being sent down, she quietly asks Ryan to take over running the Chariot Square Hotel while she’s away. Carl reacts badly, furious that she’s overlooked him, but his anger masks deep guilt after overhearing Summer and Nina talking, reminding him that Debbie is paying for his mistake and that Billy would likely still be alive if he hadn’t been drink-driving. Ronnie later makes matters worse by warning Carl that prison could speed up Debbie’s cognitive decline.
Unable to carry the burden any longer, Carl goes to Debbie and admits he was driving that night, only for her to calmly tell him she already knew and chose to protect him. Then she reveals the truth that changes everything, she’s his mother.
The revelation leaves Carl shaken. And when Debbie later finds his flat keys abandoned at the hotel, she realises he’s pulling away. She tracks him down and begs him to support her at court, but when Debbie takes the stand, Carl is nowhere to be seen as she receives her sentence.
Kevin Webster Spirals As His Family Tries to Step In
Concerned by Kevin’s behaviour, Debbie gathers Sally, Tim, Abi, and Tyrone for an intervention, hoping they can finally reach him.
Kevin bristles at the effort and insists he’s fine, but back at home, Jack finds the house in disarray with no food and decides to return to school early. He later asks Abi if he can stay with her for a few days, a request that leaves Kevin quietly devastated.
Kevin’s guilt overwhelms him when he finds his dirty “World’s Best Dad” mug abandoned in the sink. The next day, Brian points out a leaking roof at the garage. It triggers a dangerous moment as Kevin throws an empty vodka bottle and climbs onto the roof. As neighbours gather below, Abi follows him up, trying to talk him down before things spiral even further.
Coronation Street: Todd Grimshaw Is Left Penniless Without Theo
Todd struggles to get through the day with just £10 in his pocket while Theo visits his mum in Doncaster. Things turn awkward at the café when George realises he’s forgotten his wallet and asks Todd to cover the bill. Bernie Winter-Alahan Grows Increasingly Uneasy Around Mal
Bernie feels on edge when Mal arrives to carry out electrical work at the café flat and immediately suggests Roy find someone else. Roy refuses, explaining that he owes Mal the job because Mal played a role in the breakdown of his marriage. Bernie later pulls Mal aside and extracts a promise that he’ll keep their past a secret.
Her relief is short-lived, though, when a busy day leaves Bernie with no option but to accept Mal’s help again. Forced to work alongside him, Bernie struggles to hide her discomfort. And, knowing the situation could easily spiral if anyone starts asking questions.
Coronation Street: Jodie Ramsey Hides Yet Another Secret From Shona
Determined to understand Jodie’s strange behaviour, Shona tracks down a phone number for their dad through one of his old friends, Bernard. Jodie overhears the conversation and quickly calls Bernard first, asking him for a favour before Shona can reach him.
Jodie then rushes out in Tim’s taxi, leaving Shona and David confused about where she’s gone in such a hurry. When she later returns to No. 8, Jodie checks that the coast is clear before pulling something out of her bag. And makes it clear she’s hiding far more than she’s letting on.
